Laylatul Qadr (Night of Power) also spelled as Lailatul Qadr or Laylat Al Qadr, is one of the most important nights (for Muslims) in the holy month of Ramadan. Laylat al-Qadr is one of the night of the last ten days of Ramadan month. Muslims believe that on this night the blessings and mercy of Allah are abundant, sins are forgiven, and supplications are accepted. May Allah, grant us the benefit of Laylatul Qadr.
Allah says in Quran, “Verily, We have sent it (Quran) down during the Night of Decree (the night of Al-Qadr).” – [Quran, 97:1]
Allah says in Quran: “The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.”- Quran (Surah Al-Qadr, 97:3)
Most probably there are chances that Lailatul Qadr can be on Date 27th night of Ramadan (So this year chances are on 22 June 2017) but it doesn’t mean that it couldn’t be on other nights because Lailatul Qadr rotates. Messenger of Allah, (Peace Be Upon him) said seek it in the last 10 nights of Ramadan. So you should not focus on just 22 June 2017 but focus on all last 10 nights of Ramadan.
Hadith Related Lailatul Qadr:
Ali (RA) narrated: “The Prophet (peace be upon him) would awaken his family during the last ten (nights) of Ramadan.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Book 8, Hadith 114)
Ibne Umar (r.a.) narrated, Rasoolullah (s.a.w.) said ” …and, search for lailatul qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadhan.”
“Whosoever stood up in front of Allah on the night of qadr with Iman and true conviction of attaining reward from Allah, in return, Allah will forgive all his previous sins.” – (Muslim)
Hadith related by Ibne Umar (r.a.), Rasoolullah (s.a.w.) said ” …and, search for lailatul qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadhan.”
Narrated by Aisha(RA), Messenger of Allah, (Peace be upon him) said: “Search for the night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan.”
The number of angels out that night are too numerous to count.
The Prophet (Peace Be Upon him) said, “The number of angels present that night on earth cannot be counted.” – (Ibn Khuzaymah)
Laylat al-Qadar takes place in the last ten nights of Ramadan. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, “I witnessed the Night of Power, then I forgot [which night it was]. It happens in the last ten nights (of Ramadan).” – (Ibn Hiban)
The night is mild, as stated by the Prophet (Peace Be Upon him), “The night of power is a mild night neither hot nor cold.” – (Ibn Khuzaymah)
Lailatul Qadr Quote:
“Ya Allah, Allow us o reach lay Laylatul Qadr.”
“May Allah makes us those who will make ibadah and seek forgiveness from Allah on the night of of Laylatul Qadr.”
Dua for Laylatul Qadr
Hazrat Aisha(radi allahu`anha) reported that she asked Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam),
“O Messenger of Allah! (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), If I knew which night is Laylat ul-Qadr, what should I say during it?” Prophet Muhammad(sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) advised her to recite:
“Allahumma innaka `afuwwun tuhibbul `afwa fa`fu `anni “
O Allah! You are forgiving, and you love forgiveness. So forgive me.

5 things We Muslims should not forget during last 10 nights of Ramadan.
1) Give something charity every night even if it is just 1 $ or even half date.
So If it is Laylatul Qadr, it is as if you have gave charity every day for 83 years
2) Recite Quran every night.
So if it is Laylatul Qadr, it is as if you recited the Quran every day for 83 years.
3) Do a lot of Dhikr every night
So if it is Laylatul Qadr, it is as if you did dhikr everyday for 83 years.
4) Pray Tahajjud salat each night and
So if it is Laylatul Qadr, it is as if you prayed Tahajjud every night for 83 years
5) Read/recite this Dua many times each night.
Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibb ul-‘afwa fa’affu ‘anni.
English Translation of above Dua: “O Allah, You you are forgiving and you love the forgiveness, so forgive me.”
Islamic Quotes:
“Don’t give up in the last few days of Ramadan, give your best and strive in Qiyām, recitation of Quran and Dhikr, benefit from these nights.”
Shaikh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn (May Allah be pleased with him): “Some Muslims waste their time in these last 10 nights of Ramadan instead of worship, this is a TRICK from SHAYṬĀN.”
