Ibn Abbas (May Allah Be Pleased with him) born on 619 AD, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia and passed away in 687 AD, Ta’if, Saudi Arabia was the son of Al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib, an uncle of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, (Peace Be Upon hm). He is also known as Abd Allah ibn Abbas.
Ibn Abbas spent his childhood years in the company of the Prophet (pbuh) assisting him and learning from him. He became a scholar of Islam. Abdullah Ibn Abbas was only 13 years when the Prophet (peace be upon him) passed away
Abdullah Ibn Abbas spent his teenage years studying under the senior Sahaba. The Prophet (pbuh) made dua that Allah grants Abdullah Ibn Abbas the understanding of the Quran

“When a believer dies, the place where he used to prostrate himself in his Salah, will weep for him.” – Ibn Abbas
“When you want to mention your companion’s faults, remember your own faults.” – Ibn Abbas
“The servant of Allah will not be as angry at anything on the Day of Resurrection as he will be at his tongue (regretting his speech).” – Ibn Abbas

“The best striving is to build a masjid and therein to teach the Quran, the Sunnah, and understanding (fiqh).” — Ibn Abbas

“I have never known a good deed that is closer to Allah, than dutifulness to mother.” – Ibn Abbas
“Allah refuses to accept the good deeds of one who follow innovation until he gives up that innovation.” – Ibn Abbas
