We Muslims put Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam after name of our Prophet to show love and respect for him. Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam is in Arabic language. We see Some people use short form of Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam as saw or saw short form of Arabic phrase salwat to show respect for him. Some people use English language Peace Be Upon him or PBUH after his name to show love and respect for him. PBUH is short form of Peace Be Upon him.We should leave laziness avoid abbreviating and use full form as Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam Peace Be Upon him instead of short form as pbuh or saw.

The inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and (even) the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars.
