Allah is most merciful, forgiving and supportive. He is always ready to forgive believers. Allah always loves to forgive believers but in the holy month of Ramadan he loves too much to forgive so Ramadan is a great opportunity for us believers to seek forgiveness from Allah so we should not lose this opportunity.
Prophet Muhammad(Peace be upon him) said: “One(believer) who fasts during month of Ramadan due to his faith in Allah and hoping for reward from Allah, then his previous sins will be forgiven by Allah.”
We just need to repent and seek forgiveness from Allah by making Duas. Note that this opportunity is for those believers who keep fast and maintain all the prayers. Just fast is not enough we need to keep maintain prayers(Salah) as well and avoid bad deeds.We should start obeying Allah and top doing bad deeds after repentance and seeking forgiveness from Allah.
Some Ramadan Dua in English are as follows:
“O Allah for the sake of you I keep fast, and for the sake of you I break the fast. Please accept my fast, good deeds and forgive my sins.”
When beginning the fast – Suhur
“I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.”- [Abu Dawud]
When breaking the fast – Iftar
“O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You [and I put my trust in You] and I break my fast with Your sustenance” – [Abu Dawud]
“The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened and the reward is confirmed, if Allah [Ta’ala] Wills”
[Abu Dawud]
“O Allah, In this holy month of Ramadan, strengthen me in carrying out your commands, let me taste the sweetness of your remembrance, grant me through your graciousness, that I give thanks to you. Protect me with your protection and cover.”
“O Allah, In this holy month of Ramadan, place me among those seek forgiveness from you. place me among your righteous, and obedient servants, and place me among your closed servants, by your kindness. O Allah you are the most merciful. Please have mercy upon me.”
“O Allah In this holy month of Ramadan, don’t let me abase myself by doing sins in holy month of Ramadan. Ya Allah please help me, keep me away from causes of your anger, please guide me and make me and make me an obedient servant of yours. O Allah, You are most merciful, supportive, protective and forgiving. Please forgive my sins and help me.”
“O Allah, In this holy month of Ramadan, please help me with its fasts, prayers, and keep me away from bad-deeds, mistakes, sins, and grant me that I remember you continuously through the day, by your help and blessings.”
“O Allah, In this holy month of Ramadan, let me have mercy on orphans, and feed the hungry, and spread peace, and provide me the company the ones who fear you and obey you.”
“O Allah, In this holy month of Ramadan grant me your mercy, guide me towards Right path, lead me to your all encompassing pleasure by making me an obedient servant of yours Allah you are only the hope for believers, please guide us and help us ”
“O Allah on this blessed month of Ramadan make me among those who fully rely on you, from those who you consider successful, and place me among those who are near to you, by your favour .”
“O Allah, Verily, You are the oft-pardoning, you love to pardon, so please pardon me in this holy month of Ramdan.”
“O Allah, enable us to perform many good deeds during holy month of Ramadan and save us from bad deeds.”
“Ya Allah help me and whole Muslim ummah to remain good and steadfast and obedient servant of you throughout the blessed month of Ramadan and beyond.”
