Tahajjud is a is a voluntary Islamic prayer performed by muslims (mainly) after sleeping at night but before the fajr azaan and after isha prayer, it’s considered the most possibly answered prayer as you leave your sleep to worship Allah.
If you ask, Is sleeping compulsory between Isha and Tahajjud, or merely recommended? Then I tell you that may scholars say you don’t have to sleep before, but some scholars say it is better to pray after sleeping but not mandatory. Some scholars say any prayer offered between isha and fajr is tahajjud whether it is offered at10 pm or at 4 am. Some people offer it after isha but it is best in the last 3rd of the night. try to wake up 30 minutes before fajr and pray tahajjud then.
Thajjud prayer is known with different names in different countries for example In Indonesia it is called sholat/solat tahajjud or solat sunat tahajjud. In India, Pakistan and Bangladesh most often it is called as tahajjud ki namaz while in Arabic language it is known as Salah tahajjud / shalat tahajjud.
Some Tahajjud quotes are as follows:
